‘Olive,’ a great book club read

Book clubs are great for people who want to read outside their comfort zone. During the past several years of running a book club, I have found that the book I least liked reading had the best discussions.

If you have been in Aria Booksellers in the past couple months, chances are you have met Moe, the newest addition to my family, as well as being my very first dog.

I truly lucked out when I agreed to take Moe. His original family was unable to keep him. Moe has a mellow disposition, and is the perfect bookstore mascot. His personality has won the hearts of my customers, the FedEx man, postman and especially the UPS man!

“So many books, so little time,” is a phrase I hear again and again in the bookstore.  I read many reviews in a week on many different books, and then have to make the daunting decision as to what book is going to sell in my store. It is like studying for an exam. One has to read all the notes and then guess what the teacher is going to put on the exam.
