I wish heightened thought for you in 2010

December 30, 2009

My take on re-solutions. As in re-solve. I always thought that if something was solved, that it was concluded, finished, done. If it isn't, then it is a work in progress. Thus, anything started, but not yet concluded, is a continuation with allowances for reassessing. Reassessments. Modification. Old habits are hard to break and much more daunting than to perhaps modify a behavior. And, modification is not restricted to the first day of a new year. If something needs or wants doing, then it needs that attention in whatever now is going on.

Thanks to our Christmas angel

There just isn’t the money to spare to  do what, in the past, we’ve all done: Over do it.

‘Magic touch’ permeates local artist’s work

December 21, 2009

Clara Malczewski is one of those rare artists who seems to have a magic touch with artistry. Her watercolors draw you into her , surrounding you with color. More than that, you feel as if you know what is around the corner, just out of sight; you can smell the mountain air as you feel the breezes blowing through the trees. You want to reach out and pet the animals or visit the local market, just knowing you will find something special!

Holiday season kicking off in style; Fantasy of Lights steps off today

November 26, 2009

There’s no escaping the fact that it is now officially the Christmas season, with so much to see and so much to do. Around my neighborhood, almost every house (mine being the darkened exception) is aglow with decorations and strand after strand of Christmas lights. My lights lay in a colorful jumble on the living room floor. As soon as all the lights are detangled, I also need to decorate the Christmas tree. I need some inspiration.
